Koran 9:70 — Sure At-Tawbah, Vers 70

أَلَمۡ يَأۡتِهِمۡ نَبَأُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡ قَوۡمِ نُوحٖ وَعَادٖ وَثَمُودَ وَقَوۡمِ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ وَأَصۡحَٰبِ مَدۡيَنَ وَٱلۡمُؤۡتَفِكَٰتِۚ أَتَتۡهُمۡ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِۖ فَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ لِيَظۡلِمَهُمۡ وَلَٰكِن كَانُوٓاْ أَنفُسَهُمۡ يَظۡلِمُونَ

Ist ihnen nicht die Kunde von denjenigen zugekommen, die vor ihnen waren, des Volkes Nuhs, der ’Ad und der Tamud, des Volkes Ibrahims, der Bewohner von Madyan und der umgestürzten Städte? Ihre Gesandten kamen zu ihnen mit den klaren Beweisen. Nimmer ist es Allah, der ihnen Unrecht getan hat, sondern sie selbst haben sich Unrecht zugefügt.

Has there not reached them the news of those before them - the people of Noah and [the tribes of] 'Aad and Thamud and the people of Abraham and the companions of Madyan and the towns overturned? Their messengers came to them with clear proofs. And Allah would never have wronged them, but they were wronging themselves

• Rowwad Translation Center (de): Ist ihnen nicht die Kunde von denjenigen zugekommen, die vor ihnen waren, des Volkes Nuhs, der 'Ad und der Thamud, und des Volkes Ibrahims, der Bewohner von Madyan und der umgestürzten Städte (des Volkes Luts)? Ihre Gesandten kamen mit den klaren Beweisen zu ihnen. So hat (ja) nicht Allah ihnen Unrecht getan, sondern sie selbst haben sich Unrecht zugefügt.
• Hilali & Khan: Has not the story reached them of those before them? - The people of Nûh (Noah), ‘Âd, and Thamûd, the people of Ibrâhîm (Abraham), the dwellers of Madyan (Midian) and the cities overthrown [i.e. the people to whom Lût (Lot) preached]; to them came their Messengers with clear proofs. So it was not Allâh Who wronged them, but they used to wrong themselves.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): Have they not received the stories of those who came before them: the people of Noah, ‘Ād, Thamūd, the people of Abraham, the dwellers of Midian, and the overturned cities [of Lot]? Their messengers came to them with clear signs. It was not Allah who wronged them, but it was they who wronged themselves.
