Koran 8:47 — Sure Al-Anfal, Vers 47

وَلَا تَكُونُواْ كَٱلَّذِينَ خَرَجُواْ مِن دِيَٰرِهِم بَطَرٗا وَرِئَآءَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِۚ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا يَعۡمَلُونَ مُحِيطٞ

Und seid nicht wie diejenigen, die aus ihren Wohnstätten hinauszogen, in Übermut und aus Augendienerei vor den Menschen, und die von Allahs Weg abhalten. Allah umfaßt, was sie tun.

And do not be like those who came forth from their homes insolently and to be seen by people and avert [them] from the way of Allah. And Allah is encompassing of what they do

• Hilali & Khan: And be not like those who come out of their homes boastfully and to be seen of men, and hinder (men) from the Path of Allâh; and Allâh is Muhîtun (encircling and thoroughly comprehending) all that they do.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): Do not be like those who came out of their homes insolently, showing off to people, and preventing others from Allah’s way, for Allah is All-Encompassing of what they do.
