Koran 7:48 — Sure Al-A'raf, Vers 48

وَنَادَىٰٓ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡأَعۡرَافِ رِجَالٗا يَعۡرِفُونَهُم بِسِيمَىٰهُمۡ قَالُواْ مَآ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنكُمۡ جَمۡعُكُمۡ وَمَا كُنتُمۡ تَسۡتَكۡبِرُونَ

Und die Leute der Höhen rufen Männern, die sie an ihren Merkmalen erkennen, zu. Sie sagen: Es hat euch eure Ansammlung, und daß ihr euch hochmütig zu verhalten pflegtet, nicht genützt.

And the companions of the Elevations will call to men [within Hell] whom they recognize by their mark, saying, "Of no avail to you was your gathering and [the fact] that you were arrogant

• Rowwad Translation Center (de): Und die Leute der Höhen rufen Männern, die sie an ihren Merkmalen erkennen, zu. Sie sagen: „Eure Ansammlung hat euch nicht genützt und (ebenso nicht,) dass ihr euch hochmütig zu verhalten pflegtet.
• Hilali & Khan: And the men on Al-A‘râf (the wall) will call unto the men whom they would recognise by their marks, saying: "Of what benefit to you were your great numbers (and hoards of wealth), and your arrogance (against Faith)?"
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): The people of the Heights will call out to some men whom they recognize by their marks, saying, “Neither your great numbers nor your arrogance were of any avail to you.”
