Koran 7:135 — Sure Al-A'raf, Vers 135

فَلَمَّا كَشَفۡنَا عَنۡهُمُ ٱلرِّجۡزَ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ هُم بَٰلِغُوهُ إِذَا هُمۡ يَنكُثُونَ

Als Wir dann die unheilvolle Strafe von ihnen hinwegnahmen auf eine Frist, die sie erreichen sollten, brachen sie sogleich (ihr Wort).

But when We removed the punishment from them until a term which they were to reach, then at once they broke their word

• Hilali & Khan: But when We removed the punishment from them to a fixed term, which they had to reach, behold! they broke their word!
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): But when We removed the scourge from them until an appointed term that they were bound to reach, they broke their promise.
