Koran 59:16 — Sure Al-Hashr, Vers 16

كَمَثَلِ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنِ إِذۡ قَالَ لِلۡإِنسَٰنِ ٱكۡفُرۡ فَلَمَّا كَفَرَ قَالَ إِنِّي بَرِيٓءٞ مِّنكَ إِنِّيٓ أَخَافُ ٱللَّهَ رَبَّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

Es ist wie das Gleichnis des Satans, wenn er zum Menschen sagt: Sei ungläubig. Wenn er dann ungläubig geworden ist, sagt er: Gewiß, ich bin unschuldig an dir. Gewiß, ich fürchte Allah, den Herrn der Weltenbewohner.

[The hypocrites are] like the example of Satan when he says to man, "Disbelieve." But when he disbelieves, he says, "Indeed, I am disassociated from you. Indeed, I fear Allah, Lord of the worlds

• Hilali & Khan: (Their allies deceived them) like Shaitân (Satan), when he says to man: "Disbelieve in Allâh." But when (man) disbelieves in Allâh, Shaitân (Satan) says: "I am free of you, I fear Allâh, the Lord of the ‘Âlamîn (mankind, jinn and all that exists)!"
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): They are like Satan when he says to man, “Disbelieve,” then when he disbelieves, he says, “I have nothing to do with you. I surely fear Allah, the Lord of the worlds.”
