Koran 5:80 — Sure Al-Ma'idah, Vers 80

تَرَىٰ كَثِيرٗا مِّنۡهُمۡ يَتَوَلَّوۡنَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْۚ لَبِئۡسَ مَا قَدَّمَتۡ لَهُمۡ أَنفُسُهُمۡ أَن سَخِطَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَفِي ٱلۡعَذَابِ هُمۡ خَٰلِدُونَ

Du siehst viele von ihnen diejenigen, die ungläubig sind, zu Vertrauten nehmen. Fürwahr, wie schlimm ist, was sie sich selbst vorausgeschickt haben; (es ist,) daß Allah ihnen gegenüber Sein Mißfallen zeigt; und ewig werden sie in der Strafe bleiben.

You see many of them becoming allies of those who disbelieved. How wretched is that which they have put forth for themselves in that Allah has become angry with them, and in the punishment they will abide eternally

• Rowwad Translation Center (de): Du siehst (mit deinen Augen) viele von ihnen diejenigen, die ungläubig sind, zu Gefolgsleuten nehmen. Wie schlimm ist doch, was sie sich selbst vorausgeschickt haben; (und) dass Allah erzürnt über sie ist. Und auf ewig werden sie in der Strafe verweilen.
• Hilali & Khan: You see many of them taking the disbelievers as their Auliyâ’ (protectors and helpers). Evil indeed is that which their ownselves have sent forward before them; for that (reason) Allâh’s Wrath fell upon them, and in torment they will abide.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): You see many of them taking those who disbelieve as allies. Terrible was indeed what they have done for themselves, for they have incurred Allah’s wrath and they will abide in the punishment forever.
