Koran 5:101 — Sure Al-Ma'idah, Vers 101

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَا تَسۡـَٔلُواْ عَنۡ أَشۡيَآءَ إِن تُبۡدَ لَكُمۡ تَسُؤۡكُمۡ وَإِن تَسۡـَٔلُواْ عَنۡهَا حِينَ يُنَزَّلُ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانُ تُبۡدَ لَكُمۡ عَفَا ٱللَّهُ عَنۡهَاۗ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌ حَلِيمٞ

O die ihr glaubt, fragt nicht nach Dingen, die, wenn sie euch offengelegt werden, euch leid tun, wenn ihr nach ihnen fragt zu der Zeit, da der Qur’an offenbart wird, sie euch (gewiß) offengelegt werden, wo Allah sie übergangen hat. Und Allah ist Allvergebend und Nachsichtig.

O you who have believed, do not ask about things which, if they are shown to you, will distress you. But if you ask about them while the Qur'an is being revealed, they will be shown to you. Allah has pardoned that which is past; and Allah is Forgiving and Forbearing

• Hilali & Khan: O you who believe! Ask not about things which, if made plain to you, may cause you trouble. But if you ask about them while the Qur’ân is being revealed, they will be made plain to you. Allâh has forgiven that, and Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Forbearing.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): O you who believe, do not ask about things which, if they are made known to you, would only cause you hardship. If you inquire about them while the Qur’an is being revealed, they will be made known to you. Allah has pardoned you for it. Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Forbearing.
