Koran 48:16 — Sure Al-Fath, Vers 16

قُل لِّلۡمُخَلَّفِينَ مِنَ ٱلۡأَعۡرَابِ سَتُدۡعَوۡنَ إِلَىٰ قَوۡمٍ أُوْلِي بَأۡسٖ شَدِيدٖ تُقَٰتِلُونَهُمۡ أَوۡ يُسۡلِمُونَۖ فَإِن تُطِيعُواْ يُؤۡتِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ أَجۡرًا حَسَنٗاۖ وَإِن تَتَوَلَّوۡاْ كَمَا تَوَلَّيۡتُم مِّن قَبۡلُ يُعَذِّبۡكُمۡ عَذَابًا أَلِيمٗا

Sag zu den Zurückgelassenen der Wüstenaraber: Ihr werdet zu Leuten gerufen werden, die eine starke Gewalt besitzen, gegen die ihr kämpfen sollt, es sei denn, sie werden vorher Muslime. Wenn ihr gehorcht, gibt Allah euch schönen Lohn; wenn ihr euch jedoch abkehrt, wie ihr euch zuvor abgekehrt habt, wird Er euch mit schmerzhafter Strafe strafen.

Say to those who remained behind of the bedouins, "You will be called to [face] a people of great military might; you may fight them, or they will submit. So if you obey, Allah will give you a good reward; but if you turn away as you turned away before, He will punish you with a painful punishment

Then if you obey, Allâh will give you a fair reward; but if you turn away as you did turn away before, He will punish you with a painful torment."
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): Say to the Bedouins who lagged behind, “You will be called against a people of great might, whom you will fight unless they submit. Then if you obey, Allah will give you a goodly reward, but if you turn away as you turned away before, He will afflict you with a painful punishment.
