Koran 46:26 — Sure Al-Ahqaf, Vers 26

وَلَقَدۡ مَكَّنَّـٰهُمۡ فِيمَآ إِن مَّكَّنَّـٰكُمۡ فِيهِ وَجَعَلۡنَا لَهُمۡ سَمۡعٗا وَأَبۡصَٰرٗا وَأَفۡـِٔدَةٗ فَمَآ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنۡهُمۡ سَمۡعُهُمۡ وَلَآ أَبۡصَٰرُهُمۡ وَلَآ أَفۡـِٔدَتُهُم مِّن شَيۡءٍ إِذۡ كَانُواْ يَجۡحَدُونَ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُواْ بِهِۦ يَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ

Und Wir hatten ihnen ja eine feste Stellung verliehen darin, worin Wir euch keine feste Stellung verliehen haben. Und Wir hatten ihnen Gehör, Augenlicht und Herzen gegeben. Aber weder ihr Gehör, noch ihr Augenlicht, noch ihre Herzen nützten ihnen etwas, da sie Allahs Zeichen zu verleugnen pflegten, und es umschloß sie das, worüber sie sich lustig zu machen pflegten.

And We had certainly established them in such as We have not established you, and We made for them hearing and vision and hearts. But their hearing and vision and hearts availed them not from anything [of the punishment] when they were [continually] rejecting the signs of Allah; and they were enveloped by what they used to ridicule

• Rowwad Translation Center (de): Und Wir hatten ihnen ja bereits eine feste Stellung verliehen darin, worin Wir euch keine feste Stellung verliehen haben. Und Wir hatten ihnen Gehör, Augenlicht und Herzen gegeben. Aber weder ihr Gehör, noch ihr Augenlicht, noch ihre Herzen nützten ihnen etwas, da sie die Zeichen Allahs zu verleugnen pflegten, und es umschloss sie das, worüber sie sich lustig zu machen pflegten.
• Hilali & Khan: And indeed We had firmly established them with that wherewith We have not established you (O Quraish)! And We had assigned them the (faculties of) hearing (ears), seeing (eyes), and hearts; but their hearing (ears), seeing (eyes), and their hearts availed them nothing since they used to deny the Ayât (Allâh’s Prophets and their Prophethood, proofs, evidence, verses, signs, revelations) of Allâh, and they were completely encircled by that which they used to mock at!
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): We had given them the power to an extent that We have not given you [O Makkans], and We gave them hearing, sight, and hearts. But neither their hearing, nor their sight, nor their hearts availed them in the least, for they used to reject the signs of Allah. And they were overwhelmed by what they used to ridicule.
