Koran 4:94 — Sure An-Nisa, Vers 94

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ إِذَا ضَرَبۡتُمۡ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ فَتَبَيَّنُواْ وَلَا تَقُولُواْ لِمَنۡ أَلۡقَىٰٓ إِلَيۡكُمُ ٱلسَّلَٰمَ لَسۡتَ مُؤۡمِنٗا تَبۡتَغُونَ عَرَضَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا فَعِندَ ٱللَّهِ مَغَانِمُ كَثِيرَةٞۚ كَذَٰلِكَ كُنتُم مِّن قَبۡلُ فَمَنَّ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡكُمۡ فَتَبَيَّنُوٓاْۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ خَبِيرٗا

O die ihr glaubt, wenn ihr auf Allahs Weg umherreist, dann unterscheidet klar und sagt nicht zu einem, der euch Frieden anbietet: „Du bist nicht gläubig, wobei ihr nach den Glücksgütern des diesseitigen Lebens trachtet. Doch bei Allah ist Gutes in Fülle. So wart ihr zuvor. Aber dann hat Allah euch eine Wohltat erwiesen. Unterscheidet also klar. Gewiß, Allah ist dessen, was ihr tut, Kundig.

O you who have believed, when you go forth [to fight] in the cause of Allah, investigate; and do not say to one who gives you [a greeting of] peace "You are not a believer," aspiring for the goods of worldly life; for with Allah are many acquisitions. You [yourselves] were like that before; then Allah conferred His favor upon you, so investigate. Indeed Allah is ever, with what you do, Acquainted

• Rowwad Translation Center (de): O die ihr glaubt, wenn ihr auf dem Weg Allahs umherreist, dann vergewissert euch und sagt nicht zu einem, der euch den Friedensgruß (und Islam) entgegenbringt: „Du bist kein Gläubiger!“, wobei ihr nach den Glücksgütern des diesseitigen Lebens trachtet. Doch bei Allah ist Gutes in Fülle. So wart ihr zuvor (auch), aber dann hat Allah euch eine Wohltat erwiesen. Demnach vergewissert euch. Wahrlich, Allah ist kundig dessen, was ihr tut.
• Hilali & Khan: O you who believe! When you go (to fight) in the Cause of Allâh, verify (the truth), and say not to anyone who greets you (by embracing Islâm): "You are not a believer"; seeking the perishable goods of the worldly life. There are much more profits and booties with Allâh. Even as he is now, so were you yourselves before till Allâh conferred on you His Favours (i.e. guided you to Islâm), therefore, be cautious in discrimination. Allâh is Ever Well-Aware of what you do.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): O you who believe, when you go to fight in the way of Allah, make sure [who you fight]; and do not say to someone who offers you the greetings of peace, “You are not a believer” – seeking gains of the life of this world, while Allah has abundant gains. You were in the same position before, then Allah blessed you [with Islam]. Therefore make sure, for Allah is All-Aware of what you do.
