Koran 3:36 — Sure Ali 'Imran, Vers 36

فَلَمَّا وَضَعَتۡهَا قَالَتۡ رَبِّ إِنِّي وَضَعۡتُهَآ أُنثَىٰ وَٱللَّهُ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا وَضَعَتۡ وَلَيۡسَ ٱلذَّكَرُ كَٱلۡأُنثَىٰۖ وَإِنِّي سَمَّيۡتُهَا مَرۡيَمَ وَإِنِّيٓ أُعِيذُهَا بِكَ وَذُرِّيَّتَهَا مِنَ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنِ ٱلرَّجِيمِ

Als sie sie dann zur Welt gebracht hatte, sagte sie: „Mein Herr, ich habe ein Mädchen zur Welt gebracht. Und Allah wußte sehr wohl, was sie zur Welt gebracht hatte, und der Knabe ist nicht wie das Mädchen. „Ich habe sie Maryam genannt, und ich stelle sie und ihre Nachkommenschaft unter Deinen Schutz vor dem gesteinigten Satan.

But when she delivered her, she said, "My Lord, I have delivered a female." And Allah was most knowing of what she delivered, "And the male is not like the female. And I have named her Mary, and I seek refuge for her in You and [for] her descendants from Satan, the expelled [from the mercy of Allah]

(Sie sagte:) „Und ich habe sie Maryam genannt, und ich stelle sie und ihre Nachkommenschaft unter Deinen Schutz vor dem gesteinigten Satan.“
• Hilali & Khan: Then when she gave birth to her [child Maryam (Mary)], she said: "O my Lord! I have given birth to a female child," - and Allâh knew better what she brought forth, - "And the male is not like the female, and I have named her Maryam (Mary), and I seek refuge with You (Allâh) for her and for her offspring from Shaitân (Satan), the outcast."
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): When she gave birth, she said, “My Lord, I have given birth to a female child,” – and Allah knew best what she had given birth to – “and the male is not like the female. I have named her Mary, and I seek refuge with You for her and her offspring from Satan, the accursed.”
