Koran 3:180 — Sure Ali 'Imran, Vers 180

وَلَا يَحۡسَبَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَبۡخَلُونَ بِمَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمُ ٱللَّهُ مِن فَضۡلِهِۦ هُوَ خَيۡرٗا لَّهُمۖ بَلۡ هُوَ شَرّٞ لَّهُمۡۖ سَيُطَوَّقُونَ مَا بَخِلُواْ بِهِۦ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِۗ وَلِلَّهِ مِيرَٰثُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۗ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ خَبِيرٞ

Und diejenigen, die mit dem geizen, was Allah ihnen von Seiner Huld gewährt hat, sollen ja nicht meinen, das sei (so) besser für sie. Nein! Vielmehr ist es schlecht für sie. Mit dem, womit sie gegeizt haben, werden sie am Tag der Auferstehung umschlungen werden. Und Allah gehört das Erbe der Himmel und der Erde, und Allah ist dessen, was ihr tut, Kundig.

And let not those who [greedily] withhold what Allah has given them of His bounty ever think that it is better for them. Rather, it is worse for them. Their necks will be encircled by what they withheld on the Day of Resurrection. And to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, with what you do, is [fully] Acquainted

• Rowwad Translation Center (de): Und diejenigen, die mit dem geizen, was Allah ihnen von Seiner Huld gewährt hat, sollen ja nicht meinen, dies sei (so) besser für sie. Nein! Vielmehr ist es schlecht für sie. Mit dem, womit sie gegeizt haben, werden sie am Tag der Auferstehung umschlungen werden. Und Allah gehört das Erbe der Himmel und der Erde, und Allah ist kundig dessen, was ihr tut.
• Hilali & Khan: And let not those who covetously withhold of that which Allâh has bestowed on them of His Bounty (Wealth) think that it is good for them (and so they do not pay the obligatory Zakât ). Nay, it will be worse for them; the things which they covetously withheld shall be tied to their necks like a collar on the Day of Resurrection. And to Allâh belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth; and Allâh is Well-Acquainted with all that you do.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): Those who greedily withhold what Allah has given them of His grace, should not think that it is good for them, rather it is bad for them; their necks will be chained by what they greedily withheld on the Day of Resurrection. To Allah belongs the inheritance of the heavens and earth, and Allah is All-Aware of what you do.
