Koran 29:24 — Sure Al-'Ankabut, Vers 24

فَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوۡمِهِۦٓ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُواْ ٱقۡتُلُوهُ أَوۡ حَرِّقُوهُ فَأَنجَىٰهُ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلنَّارِۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّقَوۡمٖ يُؤۡمِنُونَ

Aber die Antwort seines Volkes war nur, daß sie sagten: „Tötet ihn oder verbrennt ihn. Da rettete Allah ihn aus dem Feuer. Darin sind wahrlich Zeichen für Leute, die glauben.

And the answer of Abraham's people was not but that they said, "Kill him or burn him," but Allah saved him from the fire. Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe

• Rowwad Translation Center (de): Aber die Antwort seines Volkes war nur, dass sie sagten: „Tötet ihn oder verbrennt ihn.“ Da (er)rettete Allah ihn aus dem Feuer. Wahrlich, darin sind ja Zeichen für Leute, die glauben.
• Hilali & Khan: So nothing was the answer of [Ibrâhîm’s (Abraham)] people except that they said: "Kill him or burn him." Then Allâh saved him from the fire. Verily, in this are indeed signs for a people who believe.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): His people’s only response was to say, “Kill him or burn him!” But Allah saved him from the fire. Indeed, there are signs in this for people who believe.
