Koran 2:68 — Sure Al-Baqarah, Vers 68

قَالُواْ ٱدۡعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُبَيِّن لَّنَا مَا هِيَۚ قَالَ إِنَّهُۥ يَقُولُ إِنَّهَا بَقَرَةٞ لَّا فَارِضٞ وَلَا بِكۡرٌ عَوَانُۢ بَيۡنَ ذَٰلِكَۖ فَٱفۡعَلُواْ مَا تُؤۡمَرُونَ

Sie sagten: „Bitte für uns deinen Herrn, uns Klarheit zu geben, wie sie sein soll! Er sagte: „Er (Allah) sagt, es soll eine Kuh sein, die weder zu alt noch zu jung zum Kalben ist, sondern dazwischen, in mittlerem Alter. So tut nun, was euch befohlen wird!

They said, "Call upon your Lord to make clear to us what it is." [Moses] said, "[Allah] says, 'It is a cow which is neither old nor virgin, but median between that,' so do what you are commanded

• Hilali & Khan: They said, "Call upon your Lord for us that He may make plain to us what it is!" He said, "He says, ‘Verily, it is a cow neither too old nor too young, but (it is) between the two conditions’, so do what you are commanded."
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): They said, “Call upon your Lord to make clear to us what [type of cow] it is.” He said, “Allah says, ‘It is a cow that is neither too old nor too young, but somewhere in between. So do as you are commanded!’”
