Koran 2:265 — Sure Al-Baqarah, Vers 265

وَمَثَلُ ٱلَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ أَمۡوَٰلَهُمُ ٱبۡتِغَآءَ مَرۡضَاتِ ٱللَّهِ وَتَثۡبِيتٗا مِّنۡ أَنفُسِهِمۡ كَمَثَلِ جَنَّةِۭ بِرَبۡوَةٍ أَصَابَهَا وَابِلٞ فَـَٔاتَتۡ أُكُلَهَا ضِعۡفَيۡنِ فَإِن لَّمۡ يُصِبۡهَا وَابِلٞ فَطَلّٞۗ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ

Das Gleichnis jener aber, die ihren Besitz im Trachten nach Allahs Zufriedenheit und aus ihrer Gewißheit ausgeben, ist das eines Gartens auf einer Anhöhe, den ein heftiger Regenguß trifft, und da bringt er seinen Ernteertrag zweifach (hervor). Und wenn ihn kein heftiger Regenguß trifft, so doch Sprühregen. Und was ihr tut, sieht Allah wohl.

And the example of those who spend their wealth seeking means to the approval of Allah and assuring [reward for] themselves is like a garden on high ground which is hit by a downpour - so it yields its fruits in double. And [even] if it is not hit by a downpour, then a drizzle [is sufficient]. And Allah, of what you do, is Seeing

• Rowwad Translation Center (de): Und das Gleichnis jener, die ihren Besitz im Trachten nach der Zufriedenheit Allahs ausgeben und sich dessen gewiss sind, ist das eines Gartens auf einer Anhöhe, den ein heftiger Regenguss trifft, woraufhin er seinen Ernteertrag zweifach hervorbringt. Und wenn ihn kein heftiger Regenguss trifft, dann ist es Nieselregen. Und Allah ist sehend dessen, was ihr tut.
• Hilali & Khan: And the likeness of those who spend their wealth seeking Allâh’s Pleasure while they in their ownselves are sure and certain that Allâh will reward them (for their spending in His Cause), is the likeness of a garden on a height; heavy rain falls on it and it doubles its yield of harvest. And if it does not receive heavy rain, light rain suffices it. And Allâh is All-Seer (knows well) of what you do.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): And the likeness of those who spend their wealth, seeking the pleasure of Allah and fortifying their own souls, is that of a garden on a fertile hill; if it is hit by a downpour, it yields double its harvest. And if it is not hit by a downpour, then a drizzle is sufficient. And Allah is All-Seeing of what you do.
