Koran 2:204 — Sure Al-Baqarah, Vers 204

وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يُعۡجِبُكَ قَوۡلُهُۥ فِي ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَيُشۡهِدُ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ مَا فِي قَلۡبِهِۦ وَهُوَ أَلَدُّ ٱلۡخِصَامِ

Unter den Menschen gibt es manch einen, dessen Worte über das diesseitige Leben dir gefallen, und der Allah zum Zeugen nimmt für das, was in seinem Herzen ist. Dabei ist er der hartnäckigste Widersacher.

And of the people is he whose speech pleases you in worldly life, and he calls Allah to witness as to what is in his heart, yet he is the fiercest of opponents

• Rowwad Translation Center (en): There are some [hypocrites] who amaze you with their words in the life of this world and call upon Allah to witness what is in their heart, yet they are the fiercest opponents.
