Koran 2:173 — Sure Al-Baqarah, Vers 173

إِنَّمَا حَرَّمَ عَلَيۡكُمُ ٱلۡمَيۡتَةَ وَٱلدَّمَ وَلَحۡمَ ٱلۡخِنزِيرِ وَمَآ أُهِلَّ بِهِۦ لِغَيۡرِ ٱللَّهِۖ فَمَنِ ٱضۡطُرَّ غَيۡرَ بَاغٖ وَلَا عَادٖ فَلَآ إِثۡمَ عَلَيۡهِۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٞ رَّحِيمٌ

Verboten hat Er euch nur (den Genuß von) Verendetem, Blut, Schweinefleisch und dem, worüber ein anderer (Name) als Allah(s) angerufen worden ist. Wer sich aber in einer Zwangslage befindet, ohne zu begehren oder das Maß zu überschreiten, für den ist es keine Sünde. Allah ist Allvergebend und Barmherzig.

He has only forbidden to you dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah. But whoever is forced [by necessity], neither desiring [it] nor transgressing [its limit], there is no sin upon him. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful

• Rowwad Translation Center (de): Verboten hat Er euch (von den Speisen) nur Verendetes, Blut, Schweinefleisch und das, worüber ein anderer (Name) als Allah(s) angerufen worden ist. Wer aber gezwungen ist (und sich in einer Zwangslage befindet), ohne (übertreibend) zu begehren oder (das Maß) zu überschreiten, für den ist es keine Sünde. Wahrlich, Allah ist allvergebend und barmherzig.
• Hilali & Khan: He has forbidden you only the Maitah (dead animals), and blood, and the flesh of swine, and that which is slaughtered as a sacrifice for others than Allâh (or has been slaughtered for idols, on which Allâh’s Name has not been mentioned while slaughtering). But if one is forced by necessity without wilful disobedience nor transgressing due limits, then there is no sin on him. Truly, Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): He has only forbidden to you carrion, blood, the flesh of swine, and what has been sacrificed to other than Allah. But if someone is compelled by necessity – neither driven by desire nor exceeding immediate need – then there is no sin upon him; for Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
