Koran 2:167 — Sure Al-Baqarah, Vers 167

وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّبَعُواْ لَوۡ أَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةٗ فَنَتَبَرَّأَ مِنۡهُمۡ كَمَا تَبَرَّءُواْ مِنَّاۗ كَذَٰلِكَ يُرِيهِمُ ٱللَّهُ أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ حَسَرَٰتٍ عَلَيۡهِمۡۖ وَمَا هُم بِخَٰرِجِينَ مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ

Und diejenigen, die Gefolgschaft geleistet haben, sagen: „Hätten wir doch eine (Möglichkeit zur) Wiederholung, dann würden wir uns von ihnen lossagen, so wie sie sich von uns losgesagt haben. So wird Allah ihnen ihre Werke zeigen, als gramvolle Reue für sie. Und sie werden aus dem (Höllen)feuer nicht herauskommen.

Those who followed will say, "If only we had another turn [at worldly life] so we could disassociate ourselves from them as they have disassociated themselves from us." Thus will Allah show them their deeds as regrets upon them. And they are never to emerge from the Fire

• Rowwad Translation Center (de): Und diejenigen, die (ihnen) gefolgt sind, sagen: „Hätten wir doch eine (Möglichkeit zur) Rückkehr, dann würden wir uns von ihnen lossagen, so wie sie sich von uns losgesagt haben.“ Auf diese Weise zeigt ihnen Allah ihre Werke, (und dies) als klägliches Bedauern für sie. Und sie werden aus dem (Höllen)feuer nicht herauskommen.
• Hilali & Khan: And those who followed will say: "If only we had one more chance to return (to the worldly life), we would disown (declare ourselves as innocent from) them as they have disowned (declared themselves as innocent from) us." Thus Allâh will show them their deeds as regrets for them. And they will never get out of the Fire.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): The followers will say, “If only we could have another chance, so we could disown them as they have disowned us.” Thus will Allah show them their deeds as sources of regret, and they will never get out of the Fire.
