Koran 2:109 — Sure Al-Baqarah, Vers 109

وَدَّ كَثِيرٞ مِّنۡ أَهۡلِ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ لَوۡ يَرُدُّونَكُم مِّنۢ بَعۡدِ إِيمَٰنِكُمۡ كُفَّارًا حَسَدٗا مِّنۡ عِندِ أَنفُسِهِم مِّنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلۡحَقُّۖ فَٱعۡفُواْ وَٱصۡفَحُواْ حَتَّىٰ يَأۡتِيَ ٱللَّهُ بِأَمۡرِهِۦٓۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ قَدِيرٞ

Viele von den Leuten der Schrift möchten euch, nachdem ihr den Glauben (angenommen) habt, wieder zu Ungläubigen machen, aus Mißgunst von sich selbst aus, nachdem ihnen die Wahrheit klargeworden ist. Doch verzeiht und seid nachsichtig, bis Allah mit Seiner Anordnung kommt! Allah hat zu allem die Macht.

Many of the People of the Scripture wish they could turn you back to disbelief after you have believed, out of envy from themselves [even] after the truth has become clear to them. So pardon and overlook until Allah delivers His command. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent

• Rowwad Translation Center (de): Viele unter den Leuten der Schrift möchten euch gerne, nachdem ihr den Glauben (angenommen) habt, wieder zu Ungläubigen machen, aus Missgunst von sich selbst aus, nachdem ihnen die Wahrheit deutlich wurde. So verzeiht (so lange) und seid nachsichtig, bis Allah mit Seiner Anordnung kommt! Wahrlich, Allah hat zu allem die Macht.
• Hilali & Khan: Many of the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) wish that if they could turn you away as disbelievers after you have believed, out of envy from their ownselves, even after the truth (that Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم is Allâh’s Messenger) has become manifest unto them. But forgive and overlook, till Allâh brings His Command. Verily, Allâh is Able to do all things.
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): Many of the people of the Book wish they could turn you back to disbelief after you have believed, out of the envy in their hearts, after the truth has become evident to them. But pardon and overlook until Allah passes His decree, for Allah is Most Capable of all things.
