Koran 18:86 — Sure Al-Kahf, Vers 86

حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا بَلَغَ مَغۡرِبَ ٱلشَّمۡسِ وَجَدَهَا تَغۡرُبُ فِي عَيۡنٍ حَمِئَةٖ وَوَجَدَ عِندَهَا قَوۡمٗاۖ قُلۡنَا يَٰذَا ٱلۡقَرۡنَيۡنِ إِمَّآ أَن تُعَذِّبَ وَإِمَّآ أَن تَتَّخِذَ فِيهِمۡ حُسۡنٗا

bis, als er den Ort des Sonnenuntergangs erreichte, er fand, daß sie in einer schlammigen Quelle unterging, und er fand bei ihr ein Volk. Wir sagten: „O Du’l- Qarnain, entweder strafst du (sie), oder du behandelst sie mit Güte.

Until, when he reached the setting of the sun, he found it [as if] setting in a spring of dark mud, and he found near it a people. Allah said, "O Dhul-Qarnayn, either you punish [them] or else adopt among them [a way of] goodness

• Rowwad Translation Center (de): bis, als er den Ort des Sonnenuntergangs erreichte, er fand, dass sie in einer schlammigen Quelle unterging, und er fand bei ihr ein Volk. Wir sagten: „O Dhul-Qarnayn, entweder strafst du (sie), oder du behandelst sie mit Güte.“
• Hilali & Khan: Until, when he reached the setting place of the sun, he found it setting in a spring of black muddy (or hot) water. And he found near it a people. We (Allâh) said (by inspiration): "O Dhul-Qarnain! Either you punish them, or treat them with kindness."
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): until when he reached the far west, he found the sun setting in a dark body of water, and he found some people nearby. We said, “O Dhul-Qarnayn, either punish them or treat them with kindness.”
