Koran 12:109 — Sure Yusuf, Vers 109

وَمَآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا مِن قَبۡلِكَ إِلَّا رِجَالٗا نُّوحِيٓ إِلَيۡهِم مِّنۡ أَهۡلِ ٱلۡقُرَىٰٓۗ أَفَلَمۡ يَسِيرُواْ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَيَنظُرُواْ كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡۗ وَلَدَارُ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ خَيۡرٞ لِّلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَوۡاْۚ أَفَلَا تَعۡقِلُونَ

Und Wir haben vor dir nur Männer gesandt von den Bewohnern der Städte, denen Wir (Offenbarungen) eingaben. Sind sie denn nicht auf der Erde umhergereist, so daß sie schauen (konnten), wie das Ende derjenigen war, die vor ihnen waren? Die Wohnstätte des Jenseits ist wahrlich besser für diejenigen, die gottesfürchtig sind. Begreift ihr denn nicht?

And We sent not before you [as messengers] except men to whom We revealed from among the people of cities. So have they not traveled through the earth and observed how was the end of those before them? And the home of the Hereafter is best for those who fear Allah; then will you not reason

• Rowwad Translation Center (de): Und Wir haben vor dir von den Bewohnern der Ortschaften nur Männer gesandt, denen Wir (Offenbarungen) eingaben. Sind sie denn nicht auf der Erde umhergezogen, sodass sie schauen (konnten), wie das Ende derjenigen war, die vor ihnen waren? Und die Wohnstätte des Jenseits ist fürwahr besser für diejenigen, die (Allah) fürchten. Begreift ihr denn nicht?
• Hilali & Khan: And We sent not before you (as Messengers) any but men unto whom We revealed, from among the people of the townships. Have they not travelled in the land and seen what was the end of those who were before them? And verily, the home of the Hereafter is the best for those who fear Allâh and obey Him (by abstaining from sins and evil deeds, and by performing righteous good deeds). Do you not then understand?
• Rowwad Translation Center (en): We did not send before you except men whom We gave a revelation, from the people of each society. Have they not traveled through the land to see how was the end of those who came before them? But the home of the Hereafter is far better for those who fear Allah. Do you not then understand?
